Each piece of system / equipment unit / object identified on a site has an associated release frequency. The release frequency for each system / equipment unit / object is calculated as the sum of the products of the number of components and the generic component failure rate.
Release frequency data is available from various industry sources. Any type of frequency data can be added for the defined hole size distribution. Upto four hole sizes can be used and these can be modified / updated by the user as required.
New forms of data such as system release frequency data (for coarse assessments) or new types of equipment can be used.
The frequency data is combined with parts count data for each system (e.g. isolatable sections) to calculate system release frequency total.
The frequency results can be charted to show the frequency distribution by area or by system (shown below).
The hole sizes that align to the frequency of release can changed by the user to their requirements / data. AROS3D automatically updates the consequences impact on the risk results.
System frequency data can be switched on / of as required via a usage factor to simulate the impact on risk of systems being off-line / de-commissioned / removed from site.
